- The Ascent comes standard with steering-adaptive LED headlights and Advanced Adaptive Cruise Control with Lane-Centering technology. The Pilot's adaptive cruise control system is not as advanced, and adaptive headlights aren't available for any trim.
- The Ascent's 8.7-inch ground clearance and standard Subaru Symmetrical All-Wheel-Drive and X-MODE traction control give the Ascent real capability away from the Asphalt. The Honda Pilot only comes standard with AWD on the very top trim and is not as well-suited for challenging conditions.
Subaru Ascent vs. Hyundai Palisade
- The Ascent makes loading and unloading easier than the Palisade, with wide door openings and low step-in and liftover heights.
- The Ascent comes standard with Symmetrical All-Wheel-Drive and X-MODE traction control, giving it better all-weather capability than the Palisade, which doesn't offer standard AWD for any trim level.
- The Ascent comes standard with steering-adaptive headlights, which turn in-sync with the wheels for better visibility around corners. The Palisade doesn't offer this feature at all.
