What's New For 2021?
After a recent major overhaul, this year's Subaru Impreza only sees a few minor changes. If you select the performance-minded Sport edition, its rear spoiler gets a slight redesign. For the Premium edition, you get a new performance management system called SI-Drive, which is accessed through steering-wheel-mounted controls and improves your performance levels, handling and efficiency in certain situations.
Performance and Capabilities
Regardless of the trim level you choose, your new 2021 Subaru Impreza will use a 2.0-liter four-cylinder, which produces a smooth 152 horsepower with 145 pound-feet of torque. The notable feature with the new Impreza that separates it from the rest of the crowded small hatchback and sedan market is the standard Subaru Symmetrical AWD system, which might not seem necessary for driving around Adel and Nashville, GA, but is a nice boost in performance to have if you ever travel through winter weather or need to drive off the beaten path. Even with that standard AWD system, the new 2021 Subaru Impreza earns up to 36 mpg on the highway, making it an excellent choice for a daily commuter car.
Safety and Technology
Even in a small package - though this hatchback or sedan offers a surprising amount of cabin space for its class - the new 2021 Subaru Impreza offers a lot of useful technology. A bunch of useful infotainment features centered around a standard touchscreen display will keep you connected and entertained while you're on the go. Available as a standalone add-on with the base level Impreza is the Subaru EyeSight suite, which bundles a bunch of high-end driver aids to keep you well protected during your travels around Valdosta and beyond. These features include a forward collision mitigation system, lane departure warning and keep assist, automatic reverse braking and adaptive cruise control. The EyeSight safety aids are standard in the Premium level while you can add blind-spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert as well.
